DAN MURPHY
Strength and Conditioning Coach
Dan Murphy is an experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach specialising in long term athlete development. Dan is based at the leading performance gym Locker 27.
With a background in rugby, Dan has been fortunate to work extensively with Sale Sharks, Cobham Rugby and the University of Edinburgh Men's Rugby programme in both S&C and rehab roles. Dan has also coached athletes from an array of sports including motor sport, boxing, football, tennis, hockey, cricket and athletics and is able to hone this experience to target improvement in every individual.
He holds a BSc First Class Honours (Sport Rehabilitation) and MSc Merit (Strength and Conditioning) and is dedicated to continuous self improvement and learning. Having completed training with Mark Leyland of Momentum Physio, he incorporates a movement and biomechanics model to his programming and prides himself on staying on top of current research to deliver evidence based training.
Dan believes in a holistic approach and that strength and conditioning is a key to unlocking sporting potential. His commitment to learning, combined with his extensive sports experience, ensures he can tailor programs for clients - from the elite to weekend warriors - to achieve their athletic goals.
